Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records that document arrangements for the exhibition George Washington: A Figure Upon the Stage, in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the birth of George Washington, which took place at the National Museum of American History in 1982. Materials consist of correspondence and memoranda pertaining to proposals and planning for the exhibition; proposal outlines; blueprints and drawings of exhibit installation; historical information; photographs of George Washington sculptures and paintings; drafts of exhibition scripts; and opening invitations.
