Catherine Kerby served as Special Assistant to the Director, National Museum of Natural History from 1980 to 1987. These records document her duties as the Director's coordinator for the Smithsonian Marine Station at Link Point (SMSLP). Materials include correspondence, memoranda, reports, proposals, and related materials documenting the establishment of a multibureau cooperative research program at SMSLP; the work of the SMSLP Review Committee; and relations with the Harbor Branch Foundation.
