Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of various materials transferred from subject files in the Cooper-Hewitt Museum library. In the first series are files assembled by researcher Brooks Adams during the development of the exhibition Hair, which was on view at the museum from June 10 through August 17, 1980. Also included are exhibition files for The Logic and Magic of Color, which was on view at the Cooper Union Museum from April 19 through August 1960. The second series contains six scrapbooks of press clippings describing the Museum's early exhibitions and activities under the Smithsonian. Some materials date from when the museum was known as the Cooper Union Museum for the Arts of Decoration.
