Summary

Consists of records documenting the Cooper-Hewitt Museum's relationship with the Smithsonian Institution from 1932 to 1968, and with the Smithsonian's National Collection of Fine Arts from 1965 to 1971. The Committee was chaired by Henry Francis DuPont. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, newsletters, press clippings, and invitations exchanged by administrators and curators of each institution regarding museum business.
