The Studio Arts Program originated in the activities of the Smithsonian Resident Associates Program, predecessor of the Smithsonian Associates. It was co-ordinated by Elizabeth McClung, 1984-1987. Joanne Gigliotti was Program Manager from 1987 until at least 1994. Mary Beth S. Kelly was Program Manager, 2000- .
