Consists of records documenting the Assistant Secretary for Museums' role as a liaison with foreign governments and institutions, and general interactions within and outside of the Smithsonian Institution during the tenure of Tom L. Freudenheim, 1985-1991. Materials include incoming and outgoing correspondence. Records dated prior to 1985 were created by Paul N.
