Summary

Consists of records documenting the planning, equipping, renovation, and construction of the museum buildings and facilities under the direction of the Assistant Secretary for Museums during the tenure of Paul N. Perrot, Assistant Secretary, 1972-1983. Materials include architectural drawings, maps, sketches. Special items of interest include a map of the Mall buildings and the U.S. Capitol; development of the South Garden, later named the Enid A Haupt Garden; and renderings of the Arts and Industries Building.
