Summary

Consists of records documenting Smithsonian research funds and bequests made to the Institution. The file was maintained by Remington Kellogg, Director, 1948- 1962. However, many of the records were created by his predecessor, Alexander Wetmore, Assistant Secretary in charge of the United States National Museum, 1925-1948.
