Consists of an information file created and collected by Thomas R. Harney, Science Information Officer in the News Bureau of the Office of Public Affairs, 1969-1976; Writer-Editor at the National Museum of Natural History, 1976-1990; and Public Information Officer, 1990-1994. Materials include news clippings, press releases, photographs, and related materials primarily concerning events, research, and projects at the National Museum of Natural History. Also included are materials documenting activities of other Smithsonian bureaus.
