Summary

Consists of records documenting the construction of the National Museum Building (now named the Natural History Building). Materials include a journal of stones received for use in the building, a record of government property on hand for building the museum, a daily report of services rendered and materials received, a record of the allocation of labor and materials, a time book of laborers' work, and a monthly time book for a building contract.
