  • Catherine Kerby joined the staff of the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) in 1976 when she was appointed Staff Assistant to the Director. Her title was changed to Special Assistant to the Director in 1984, Assistant Director for Special Projects in 1987, and Associate Director for Special Projects in 1991. Kerby resigned in 1998 and the position ceased to exist as an administrative entity at NMNH.
