Summary

Consists of records documenting budget administration in the National Museum of Natural History during the tenure of Mary R. Tanner, Administrative Officer, 1984-1989; Assistant Director for Administration, 1989-1991; and Associate Director for Administration, 1991-1995. Materials include correspondence and reports concerning the budget as well as proposed projects and work completed. Records concern trust fund and federal spending. Materials predating 1984 were created by previous administrative officers and maintained by Tanner.
