Notes

  • Ned Hollister (1876-1924) began his career in 1904 as a Field Naturalist with the Bureau of Biological Survey, United States Department of Agriculture. From 1910 to 1916 he served as Assistant Curator in the Division of Mammals, United States National Museum. In 1916, Hollister was appointed Superintendent of the National Zoological Park (NZP) where he remained until his death.
