This collection consists of accession catalogs maintained by the Department of Geology, 1900-1910, and by the Division of Mineralogy of the Department of Geology (prior to 1897, the Department of Minerals), 1894-1910; catalogs, specimen lists, and an alphabetic index of the Frederick A. Canfield Mineral Collection which was bequeathed to the United States National Museum in 1926; and outgoing correspondence concerning the Petrographic Reference Collection of the Department of Geology, 1896-1906.

Descriptive Entry

This collection consists of accession catalogs maintained by the Department of Geology, 1900-1910, and by the Division of Mineralogy of the Department of Geology (prior to 1897, the Department of Minerals), 1894-1910; catalogs, specimen lists, and an alphabetic index of the Frederick A.
