Descriptive Entry
These papers concern entomology, especially the early stages of insect development and more particularly the larvae of Coleoptera. They include extensive correspondence with J. P. Kryger, 1936-1939, and data on Kryger's contributions to the national collection of insects. Other correspondence, usually incoming with some draft copies of Boving's letters with a wide range of professional acquaintances, concerns the acquisition and loan of specimens, determinations, and evaluation of papers for publication. Much of the correspondence is in Danish, German, and French. Also included is an incomplete series of plates prepared for Boving's Synopsis of the Coleoptera and Boving and Craighill's Larva of the Coleoptera.
