Descriptive Entry

Dorothy Rosenberg joined the Smithsonian Institution in 1959 as an Administrative Officer. In 1971 she began work for Under Secretary Robert A. Brooks and then for Secretary S. Dillon Ripley from 1973 to her retirement in 1979. Her duties involved management of the Secretary's Office, and she was liaison to the Board of Regents as well. These records document especially sensitive matters and were kept apart from regular office records on that account.
