Record Unit 537
National Air and Space Museum
Program Files, circa 1933-1970
This record unit consists of fragmentary records of the National Air and Space Museum (NASM) and the National Air Museum (NAM) whose exact provenance is not known. The records include some correspondence with members of the Museum's Advisory Board and a few sets of agendas, lists of attendees, and minutes of a few meetings; a report of an outside consultant concerning the operation of the reference collection which eventually became the NASM Archives; several programs for NAM ceremonies; and a small amount of Paul E. Garber material, including several annual reports, copies of some correspondence, and lists of aircraft. Also included is ephemeral correspondence between the public and the NASM Library. Only a sample of this was retained.
