Specimen Records, 1887-1907
These records consist of receipts from the United States National Museum for specimens loaned or given to individuals and institutions. Before 1891, substantial correspondence is included; after that date, there are mostly copies of receipts. People represented in the records include Richard Rathbun, Frederick William True, G. Brown Goode, and Charles D. Walcott. See Specimen Distribution Records and Specimen Distribution Record Books (Record Units 119 and 120). A volume list follows.
