Abstract

This folder is part of a collection of whaling records from William Henry Tripp's collection. The present one concerns the schooner John R. Manta of New Bedford, Massachusetts. It includes a mounted color drawing of the schooner John R. Manta, signed "[C?] De Montigny", undated. It shows the prow of the schooner, with it name as well as a figurehead representing an eagle's head.
