PrintThis field book is part of the animal research data of the Division of Zoological Research of the National Zoological Park (U. S.), which conducted research documenting the toque macaque of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The research was mostly performed by Research Associate Wolfgang P. J. Dittus, Director of the Smithsonian Primate Biology Program in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The field book was divided into several folders for preservation purposes. The present materials are folders 1 to 4 out of six. The slides are dated from circa 1968 to 1971. A partial list on paper accompanying the slides shows dates from May to August 1970. The slides, not all labeled or dated, are on 11 sheets; they picture various people in sites of Sri Lanka, and observed macaques.
