Abstract

This field book is part of the animal research data of the Division of Zoological Research of the National Zoological Park (U. S.), which conducted research documenting the toque macaque of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The research was mostly performed by Research Associate Wolfgang P. J. Dittus, Director of the Smithsonian Primate Biology Program in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The present field book contains copies of field data collected by W. P. J. Dittus in September 1971. The data document the behavior of groups of macaques and they include habitat and shrub analysis. They include some drawings. They are dated from September 2 to 26, 1971.
