PrintThis field book is part of the animal research data of the Division of Zoological Research of the National Zoological Park (U. S.), which conducted research documenting the toque macaque of Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The research was mostly performed by Research Associate Wolfgang P. J. Dittus, Director of the Smithsonian Primate Biology Program in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The present field book contains copies of field data collected in November-December 1968 by W. P. J. Dittus. The data document the behavior of troops of macaques. The notes are stamped "Wolfgang P. J. Dittus". They are numbered, organized by groups of animals, and include a few drawings. The leaves are dated from February 15 and from November 14 to December 14, 1968.
