Abstract

Robert P. Higgins, born in 1932, is an invertebrate zoologist who held various positions at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History, 1968-1996. The Smithsonian Institution Archives house field notes that document his collecting trips around the world. This field book includes notes about a field trip to Venezuela. The notes show for each site the field number, date, locality, habitat, initials of collectors, taxa of specimens, acknowledgments and remarks. They include the drawing of a map, as well as an inventory and budget notes.
