Abstract

Robert P. Higgins, born in 1932, is an invertebrate zoologist who held various positions at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History, 1968-1996. The Smithsonian Institution Archives house field notes that document his collecting trips around the world. This field book, dated from October 10 to 31, 1986, includes notes on a field trip to Fiji. The notes show for each site the field number, date, locality, habitat, initials of collectors, taxa of specimens, acknowledgments and remarks.
