Abstract

Robert P. Higgins, born in 1932, is an invertebrate zoologist who held various positions at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History, 1968-1996. The Smithsonian Institution Archives house field notes that document his collecting trips around the world. This field book concerns a field trip made in 1985 to Venezuela and California, from May 14 to November 20, 1985. The notes include names of scientists, names and coordinates of stations, with their conditions and observed specimens.
