Abstract

Robert P. Higgins, born in 1932, is an invertebrate zoologist who held various positions at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History, 1968-1996. The Smithsonian Institution Archives house field notes that document his collecting trips around the world. This field book shows notes on trips from 1981-1982 to Greenland and Saudi Arabia. It includes text and drawings, including the inserted drawing of a map from the Saudi Arabia region, along with additional inserted notes. dates range from September 27, 1981 to November 2, 1982. Drawings are highlighted with pasted colored stickers, notes are in pencil and red ink. Stations names and coordinates are provided.
