Abstract

This item is a logbook comprised of worksheets detailing Vema cruise 7 from 26 May-26 August 1955. The worksheets record the following information, although not all fields are consistently populated with data: date, coordinates, direction, speed, net size and type, sky condition, time net in, time reaches max. depth, max. depth, time leaves max. depth, total time at max. depth, time net out, total time, remarks, and observations on haul. Observations may include information of what type of plankton captured, water temperatures, and other supplemental information. A worksheet from 23 September 1952 is also included (probably from another cruise).|There is a separate set data in a handwritten table on note paper in the back.
