Abstract

Robert P. Higgins, born in 1932, is an invertebrate zoologist who held various positions at the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History, 1968-1996. The Smithsonian Institution Archives house field notes that document his collecting trips around the world. This field book concerns a trip made between April 30 and November 19, 1979. It shows stations notes with dates, names, coordinates and conditions at each site, then collection information on specimens of "Meiofauna collected by Dr. Jones" in Costa Rica and Bermuda.
