Abstract

A. L. Mehring wrote this catalogue, numbering each family, genus and species of marine invertebrates he collected. He acquired specimens from diverse sources, including the National Museum. His catalogue is organized alphabetically, with an index of abbreviations. At end are bibliographical references and a few notes on some species. dates range from October 31, 1948 to February 25, 1963. In the book are inserted name labels corrected from "Mehring, A. E." to "Mehring, A. L."
