Abstract

Rolf A. M. Brandt (1917-1989) was a conchologist who published, among other works, The non-marine aquatic Mollusca of Thailand (Frankfort am Main, Waldeman Kramer, 1974). This field book is a handwritten catalogue listing numbers, species, localities and dates for specimens collection in Thailand. Are inserted notes on pieces of paper, cut envelopes with stamps and addresses of institutions (from correspondence between the Dept. of Medical Zoology in San Francisco and the Smithsonian Institution) and references from the US National Museum of Natural History. The field notes are dated from June 26, 1963 to April 1, 1965. The field book is inscribed "Fűr Dr. J. P. E. Morrisson". On the first page is written "Coll. for U. S. Nat. Mus. Washington."
