PrintJoseph Rosewater (1928-1985) was a malacologist in the Division of Mollusks at the National Museum of Natural History. This field book includes records from the International Indian Ocean Expedition to Singapore and Colomb, Ceylan, which took place in 1963 on the schooner Te Vega to research the marine fauna in the Indian Ocean. The records, marked by the symbol "MO", are numbered MO-1 to MO-38 and dated from October 12 to December 15, 1963. Rosewater noted the locations, with their coordinates, the typ eof grounds (sand, presence of coral, etc.) and the names of mollusks specimens found on site. At the end are drawings of a coral clam, and notes on two peices of pare are inserted.
