Abstract

This set of 54 field card files show data on the black-throated blue warbler, conducted by various researchers for the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center during the years 1970, 1972, 1974, 1981, 1983, 1986. The research was conducted in the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in Grafton County, New Hampshire. The cards, filled on both sides, show information on the place, the bird's habitat (woods in the case of this warbler) with the type of tree favored by the birds, the height of eggs, and the nesting behavior dated by month and day. When it is the case, attacks by predators and the fate of nestlings are noted. In case of failure of the nest, the causes (human, predators, weather, etc.) are noted.
