Abstract

The field data documents work completed by Harald Rehder with Richard L. Sixberry relating to marine invertebrates in Polynesia during 1964-1966. Loose sheets contain a variety of information. Some notes are headed with island name and include travel details, routes traveled, weather, description of specimen collected, and station numbers. Also includes maps. These cover work primarily completed during 1965 in the vicinity of Raevavae, Rurutu, and Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. Others are organized by station number and list location information, description of habitat (including sea-bottom) and vegetation, references to chart numbers, as well as specimens. Also contains typed notes relating to the National Geographic Schwengel South Pacific Expedition (U.S. Samoa, Fiji group). There is a volume of field data arranged by station number (L-1 to L-30) for work completed during 1964 and 1965. Some pages include drawings and hand drawn maps.
