Abstract

The color slides document the field work of Neal Smith studying gulls Nunavut, Canada, circa 1959-1961. The slides are stamped with the date developed, and contain varying levels of description. Description usually contains location information, subject matter, or identifier. Images show terrain, Eskimo families, travel by sled dog, campsites, candid images of colleagues, buildings, vegetation, birds, and polar bears. Locations include but are not limited to Baffin Island.
