Abstract

The item consists of a list of Allard's specimen no. 11438-12372 collected in the course of his work in the Dominican Republic and in the United States in Virginia and West Virginia from 1945-1947. Dated specimen entries include locality, scientific name,and notes regarding growing conditions. For more information on localities in the United States, see Book 18 of the same collection. A handwritten note in the inside cover reads, "In event of death please turn this book over to E.C. Leonard, U.S. National Herbarium, Smithsonian Institution".
