Abstract

Field notes document the work of James Lynch in Australia during July 8, 1988 to January 26, 1989. The loose sheets are dated, headed with location information, followed by narrative style entries that describe travel details, work and personal activities, weather and temperature, field work including bird banding and netting, species lists, and lists of observation data from transects. Field work details include weather, temperature, time of day, location information or route, bird lists (common name), hand drawn diagrams and maps of transects, detailed descriptions of bird songs, and habitat. Locations are across Australia.
