Abstract

Field notes document the work of James Lynch in Yucatan, Mexico, January 15 - October 1983. The loose sheets describe several trips. The first was to the Yucatan peninsula to study migrant birds January 15 to February 24, 1983. Entries are dated and narrative in style. They describe travel details, colleagues with whom worked, work completed, routes traveled, habitat, observations of birds (type and quantity), bird list, foraging observations, hand drawn maps. Some observations are organized by location identifier. Also contains original poetry. Also contains a trip to Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico, to negotiate research arrangement with CIPRO. Entries contain similar content as well as descriptions of vegetation.
