Abstract

Field notes document the work of James Lynch in the Chesapeake Bay Center for Environmental Studies (CBCES) in Maryland during July 9, 1979 - June 26, 1980. Entries are dated, headed with location information, start and end time, weather, temperature (air and ground), transect number, followed with details about travel details, work completed and methods, observations of ant activity. Observations cover types of ants (scientific name), quantity, types of bait (tuna, syrup), and description of habitat. Some entries contain lists with time of day and behavior observed or work completed.
