Abstract

Field notes document the work of James Lynch relating to ants at the Chesapeake Bay Center for Environmental Studies (CBCES) during February 26 - June 16, 1977. Entries are dated, headed with location information (e.g. transect number), weather and temperature, followed by details such as work completed, observations of ant activity relating to colonies, abundance, sex, and behavior. Also includes tables of data describing behavior relating to two types of bait: tuna and sugar.
