Abstract

Field notes document the work of James Lynch in Panama and at the Chesapeake Bay Center for Environmental Studies (CBCES) during 1977, and northern California during 1978. Contains a variety of materials. There is a copy of a field catalogue and correspondence for work conducted in Panama. Also contains field note entries for July 23 to 26, 1977, for work completed in the vicinity of Guatape, Colombia. Entries include location information, elevation, followed by list of specimens collected (quantity, scientific name, whether alive or preserved, and identifiers). There are a loose sheets describing work completed October 5 to 12, 1977 at CBCES, and a collecting trip to northern California on March 11 to 13, 1978. Notes for California include dated narrative style entries headed with location information and followed with travel details, observations, work completed, and tables of scientific data. In addition it contains a list of stations with descriptions as well as quantity and types of specimens collected.
