Abstract

Contains copies of field catalogue and original field notes, documenting the work of James Lynch in southeastern United States, Saint Vincent, Panama, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, 1975. The catalogue copy relates to work completed in Panama. The original documentation includes a journal for a trip to the southeastern United States, West Indies, and Central America. It contains dated entries listing travel details (mileage, expenses, accommodations, meals), followed entries describing field work. These are headed with location information, followed by lists of wildlife observed (birds, reptiles), insect specimens collected (specimen numbers, description of characteristics, habitat where found, abundance), tables of capture data, and census data for types of insects in the vicinity that was retrieved through the use of sticky boards. Collecting sites are sometimes near identified businesses.
