Abstract

The drawings document William Henry Holmes' field work in Quirigua in Izabal, Guatemala, during 1895 while working for the Field Museum in Chicago. Drawings show area terrain and vegetation, oblique views of Mayan structures, aerial views of layouts, detail sketches of architectural and structural details. Images often include details annotations with measurements. Also contains text describing artifacts.
