Abstract

The hydrographic sheet no. 1996 documents sea bottom specimens collected from the junction of Frederick Sound and Stephen's passage in southeast Alaska during May 17 to July 16, 1889. The party was commanded by Lieut. H. B. Mansfield, U.S.N. Table of data contains dates, section no., locality, fathoms, and notes. There is a note as the bottom to see Hydrographic sheets nos. 1999 and 2001 and regarding "soundings."
