Abstract

The data sheets contain description of ectoparasites collected from birds and their vicinity for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program during 1965-1966. Details are listed on pre-printed sheets. Data varies, but most sheets list host (common name), field no. (e.g. BP7-8), date, sex, locality, and information in a table headed with body regions, mites, ticks, and mallophaga. Also includes comments, which in many cases document an absence of ectoparasites. Most sheets document work on Sand Island and Johnston Atoll.
