The catalog documents collecting of ectoparasites during July - August 1966. The volume begins with a key listing number ranges for vials (4-001 to 10-999) per location: at sea and islands Howland, McKean, Jarvis, Baker, Gardner, and Swain's. For each series of numbers, there is a table of data that contains vial no. (e.g. 4-001), date, host species, field no., ectoparasite species, remarks and locations. Remarks included additional information about location on a host, host characteristics (e.g. sex), and latitude and longitude for at sea.
