Abstract

The volume documents Berlese samples and ectoparasites collected during 1966 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. Berlese samples and ectoparasite collecting are separated into sections marks "B" and "E." The Berlese sample section contains a table with catalog number (B1 to B1003), field no. (e.g. RM), date, area (e.g. B), soil temp., no. of ticks, and remarks. Remarks often relate to specimen of location information about collecting site (e.g. type of bird nest). The ectoparasite section contains a table with catalog # (E1 to E41), species (scientific name), identification numbers, bird collected from, collector name, date, and remarks. Remarks usually describe where the ectoparasite was found on the host bird. Collectors include but are not limited to K. Amerman, R. Maze, and Schreiber. Localities include Sand Island and Johnson Atoll.
