Abstract

The volume documents the collecting of ectoparasites during the Southern Island Cruise (SIC) 16, October 29 to December 9, 1966 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. The notebook contain a table of description including specimen number, host number (e.g. 5350), host name (scientific name), locality (island name, latitude and longitude), date, type of collection, type of ectoparasite, remarks, and collector names. Remarks include additional information about specimen and host. Collectors include F. C. Thompson, R. W. Tuxson, L. N. Huber, and K. C. Balcomb. Localities include at-sea and islands: Howland and Baker.
