Abstract

The volume documents the collecting of ectoparasites during the Southern Island Cruise (SIC) 15, September 10 and October 1966 for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program. The notebook contains a table of description including field number (e.g. ES15-1a), host field number, host name (e.g. Phaethon lepturus), locality (island name or latitude and longitude), date, type of colleciton, type of parasites, remarks, and collector names. Remarks include additional information about the specimen and the host. Collectors include F. C. Thompson, L. N. Huber, and P. Woodward. Localities include at-sea and Islands: Howland, Baker, Enderbury, Hull, Phoenix [Rawaki], and Birnie.
