Abstract

The field data documents the work of Russell Greenberg for a coastal plain swamp sparrow survey the mid-Atlantic region including New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware during June and July 2000. Pre-printed sheets include name (location), sometimes date, time of day, name of observer, location code, weather (sky code, wind code, temp.), table of terms describing habitat (non-marsh, open water, mud flat/beach, shrub, phragmites, reed/rush/grass, other), list of marsh bird species and quantity, non-marsh bird species and quantity, map with notations regarding landmarks and species observed, detailed description of point (open text), and notes that provide additional information about observations of species and habitat. Also includes maps with notations relating to historical data and lists of data points per observer. Some pages include latitude and longitude.
