Abstract

The field data documents the work of Russell Greenberg relating a coastal plain swamp sparrow survey the mid-Atlantic region including New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware during June and July 2000. Notes are loose sheets of paper which include preprinted data sheets listing name of observer, date, time, location, access, weather (sky code, wind code, temp.), table of terms describing habitat (non-marsh, open water, mud flat/beach, shrub, phragmites, reed/rush/grass, other), marsh bird species observed and quantity, non-marsh bird species and quantity, and a map one which observers noted locations of landmarks and birds observed. Also includes the research thesis of Richard C. McCorkle submitted as for the purposes of a degree of Maters of Sciences in Marine Studies, and numerous maps with notations relating to historical data.
